Sounds like someone has a case of the Mundays

Man, what a start to the week.

I woke up 2 hours late and didn't get to work until about 9. Went to Starbucks on the way in...and they made my drink wrong. Seriously, I know they're busy, but there's only 3 ingredients...espresso, soy milk, and ice. So they gave me regular milk in my drink which doesn't really sound so bad, but it makes it taste really nasty. AND they still carged me extra for the soy milk I didn't get. BAAAHHHH. There's not really much I can do about it either. I figure these are my choices: 1) go back tomorrow and demand a free drink to remedy the injustice or 2) hold up the drive-thru line and sample every drink I get before I leave the window...either way I come off as the ass and it wasn't even my fault. The worst part is I had to wait in Atlanta traffic and the drive-thru line, an extra 20-30 minutes to go to this Starbucks because there are no other Starbuck around...and then they give me the wrong drink. On the positive side, I guess it's a good thing I'm not lactose intolorent and didn't go into seizures or break out in hives.

Wow, I totally banked at the Doctor's

Yesterday I had my first Dr. appointment since moving and it was kinda cool. I was at the over for almost 2 hours and I walked away feeling like it was actually worth it. I had 4 prescriptions and 3 shot...all for about $20. Now, don't go thinking I'm really sick or dying or anything. I got all the shots and a malaria drug prescription for the trip, some sleeping medicine, prescription face stuff, and then a transferred prescription from my old Dr. Anyhow, I'd have to say it was overall, very productive...though today both my arms are kinda sore.

I also got my passport application in yesterday. So, probably not such a good idea to get my pic taken right after waking up. The first picture was so funny, my eyes were only half open...I looked like I'd been drugged :) The second time around I kept my eyes wide open, which was almost equally freaky lookin, but by then I was just ready to get outta there. So, I'm gonna look retarded in my passport, could be worse. Now all I have to get is my visa and I'm set.

Smyrna - The City of Festivals

I don't get it. Almost every weekend since I've been here, this city has had a festival. So what's on the docket this weekend? Well there's Oktoberfest, the Fall Festival, oh and of course, the Jonquil Festival. Yes...all in the same weekend. So maybe this is what you're supposed to do as the suburb of a huge city.

At least I don't have cats

but I have I've taken up cross-stitching. More specifically, cross-stitching a baby blanket for my co-worker's baby. The baby's due in mid-December so I'll have to be a stitchin fool to get it done on time.

Ok, I like to shop, and I love giving presents...but shopping for a guy's baby is kinda hard. I mean most baby stuff is...well...gay. And the stuff that is cute, is usually only cute to girls. Anyway this is it. It was the only thing I could find that wasn't too girlie or full of animals, so I hope he digs it.

Other than stitching, I created a recipe for an awesome sugar-free cheesecake this weekend, I brought the rest of it into work on Monday and everyone loved it :) So that was cool. Ya never know, sometimes that sugar-free stuff comes out totally nasty.

Hmmm what else. Oh I got my India tickets in the mail, now all i need is a passport, a visa, a bigger photo card for my camera, and vaccinations and I'm ready to roll.

Outs for now
